It is estimated that preventable diseases such as pneumonia and diarrhoea are responsible for the death of 2 million children annually in poverty-stricken communities where parents cannot afford proper treatment (UNICEF fact sheet on poverty).
Because most of the unreached people groups we work with are found in rural communities, we often encounter people with treatable health issues who end up losing their lives because they cannot afford to pay for healthcare. We have resolved that with the help of God and support of our partners, we will support these communities through education on preventable illnesses, and also conduct routine free medical outreaches.
